V rámci projektu Kultura prolomuje hranice KU-CA2-042 podpořeného EHP a Norskými fondy proběhne festival Romfest Skalky.

RomFest Skalky 2023 v Novém Jičíně zanedlouho otevře své brány, a to 22.7.2023 od 11:00.

Frode Barth je jedním z předních norských skladatelů, kytaristů a hudebních producentů.
Je mezinárodně známý pro řadu sólových alb a společných projektů s předními hudebníky různých žánrů.
Barth dostal Grammy za album „Going North“ [MTG Music].
Spolupracoval se superhvězdami, jako jsou Chet Baker, Oscar Peterson, Michael Baker, Manu Katché, Arthur Maia a Toninho Horta, abychom jmenovali alespoň některé.
Barth neustále rozšiřuje možnosti kytary a svůj vlastní zvukový vesmír. Na svém kontě má více než 400 skladeb v rockové, popové, jazzové, soudobé a filmové hudbě. Působí jako sólista a pořádá workshopy v předních hudebních institucích po celém světě.
Navštěvuje také přední nahrávací studia a jeho spojení s Českou republikou je díky mezinárodně známému mimopražskému nahrávacímu studiu Sono Records. Často tam působil a poznal některé z nejlepších českých hudebníků. Právě na základě toho dal dohromady příslušnou kapelu, jejíž debut na tomto festivalu uslyšíte.
Barthova hudba má severské prvky a spočívá v improvizaci nad tématy. Barth si vybral přední české hudebníky, kteří mají náhodnou estetickou podobnost. Umělci, kteří spolu budou hrát, svým způsobem tvoří hudební most mezi Norskem a Českou republikou. Síla kapely je v tom, že všichni muzikanti jsou dobří hráči, dobří posluchači a všichni jsou spojeni s improvizací jako uměleckou formou.

He is internationally known for a number of solo albums and collaborative projects with leading musicians in a variety of genres. Barth got Grammy for the album «Going North» [MTG Music].
He has collaborated with superstars such as Chet Baker, Oscar Peterson, Michael Baker, Manu Katché , Arthur Maia and Toninho Horta to name a few. Barth is constantly expanding the guitar’s possibilities and his own sound universe. He has a work list of more than 400 compositions in Rock, Pop, Jazz, Contemporary and Film music. He works as a soloist and gives workshops at leading music institutions around the world.
He also frequents leading recording studios and his connection to the Czech Republic is thanks to the internationally known recording studio Sono Records outside Prague. He has often worked there and gotten to know some of the best Czech musicians. It is on the basis of this that he has put together the relevant band whose debut you will hear at this festival. Barth’s music has Nordic elements and consists of improvisation over themes.
Barth has chosen leading Czech musicians who have coincidental aesthetic similarities. The artists that will be playing together in a way forms a musical bridge between Norway and the Czech Republic. The strength of the band is that all the musicians are good players, good listeners and all are connected to improvisation as an art form.

Er ist international bekannt für eine Reihe von Soloalben und Gemeinschaftsprojekten mit führenden Musikern verschiedener Genres. Barth erhielt einen Grammy für das Album „Going North“ [MTG Music].

Barth hat führende tschechische Musiker ausgewählt, die zufällige ästhetische Ähnlichkeiten aufweisen. Die Künstler, die zusammen spielen, bilden gewissermaßen eine musikalische Brücke zwischen Norwegen und der Tschechischen Republik. Die Stärke der Band besteht darin, dass alle Musiker gute Spieler und gute Zuhörer sind und alle mit der Improvisation als Kunstform verbunden sind.
