Who is the seminar intended for?
- for Romani musical artists, (music and dance groups, musicians and singers)
- Roma cultural managers (representing music and dance groups),
- agents – mediators,
- workers in culture (sound engineers, lighting, cameramen, photographers, production, service staff)
Project goal
- The main goal of the project is the professionalization and education of 20 Roma cultural managers and musical artists on behalf of Slovakia.
Training topics?
- in technical areas (sound, lighting, audio, video, LED devices, stages),
- digital areas (social networks, internet marketing, public relations),
- in the financial area (acquiring financial resources and financing),
- in cultural management (economics, laws, branding, human resources, accounting),
- in technical creation / output innovation, processing, distribution and preservation of musical works.

ROMFEST SKALKY, NOVÝ JIČÍN

As part of our project and cultural activities, we also traditionally supported the Roma festival ROMFEST held in the grounds of the Skalky amphitheater in Nový Jičín, where dozens of Roma music groups and children’s ensembles performed.

PROFESSIONALIZATION ACCELERATOR OF ROMA MUSIC ARTISTS
As part of this activity, two 5-day seminars are held in each partner country, each for 10 participants from the ranks of Roma cultural managers and Roma musical artists. In total, the training academy is held for 60 participants (20 from the Czech Republic, 20 from Slovakia and 20 from Germany).
The activity was implemented according to the curriculum:
Program of the 1st part of the seminar – ACCELERATOR – 10 Roma musical artists
- Introductory information and presentation of the project, content of the seminar, getting to know the lecturers
- Educational part on Sound, Lighting, Video technology
- Educational part on PR and promotion, Financial and grant instruments
- Educational section on Artistic Impact, Cultural Management
- Networking day, presentation of certificates for completing the seminar
Program of the 2nd part of the seminar – ACCELERATOR – 10 Roma musical artists
- Introductory information and presentation of the project, content of the seminar, getting to know the lecturers
- Educational part on Sound, Lighting, Video technology
- Educational part on PR and promotion, Financial and grant instruments
- Educational part on the topic of Artistic impact, Cultural management
- Networking day, presentation of certificates for completing the seminar

Introductory press conference

On February 28, 2024, from 2:00 p.m., an introductory press conference was held in the Culture House in Dolní Benešov as part of the implementation of the Accelerator project for the professionalization of Roma musical artists.
